Why is there a white haze around my print?

What is actually happening
Most designs arrive with soft edges — anti-aliasing, a feathered cutout, a drop shadow that was flattened. On screen that softness reads as a smooth edge. A printer cannot print half a pixel of ink, so every one of those soft pixels becomes either ink or nothing, and the result is a pale outline that follows your design.
How to fix it
- 1.Check the file before you press — the scan measures how much of the edge is semi-transparent and tells you if it is enough to show.
- 2.If it is, remove the background again with a tool that keeps a hard edge rather than a feathered one.
- 3.Re-check. The edge quality reading should drop into the clear.
